New Toys and Making Progress

Today I woke up to some good news, there’s a new PokerTracker beta with the inclusion of a HUD available. I’ve been using Holdem Manager the past weeks. I think I’m going to fire up PT3 for todays sessions and see how it compares to HM. I must say HM’s HUD has grown on me the past few weeks and I am starting to like it. We’ll see if PT can convince me to switch back again.

Went back to using HM pretty quickly, I’m going to have to wait for PT3 to mature some more before I consider dumping Holdem Manager for it.

Had a pretty crap run in the dailies, but at least made enough points to make Platinum. So; jay on that one! Also traded in some point for the 2 new Harrington Volumes. I’m curious to see if there’s anything good in em.

Platinum in Sight

It’s been a bit of a roller coaster, but at least it looks like I only ended a down few bucks for the day. Looks like I’ll be making Platinum this weekend. Just 600 or so points to go, I didn’t get as much hands in today as I would’ve liked. But that’s what I get for being a lazy degen and sleeping in way too long again.

I might have to have someone look into that, I wake up way too friggin’ late when I don’t have to work my day-job. It’s getting ridiculous.

Anyway, I need to log something like three more hours at the table to put me over the top. That means I’ll be able to donk off some of my winnings at a few of the weeklies. Even though I am up in those, I always feel like I am slacking off when playing those tourneys.

Off to bed, it’s 2:00 am. That might have something to do with my waking up late… who knows.

Back at Pokerstars

Since I’ve been back to playing poker I’ve grinding the low level NL Hold’em tables at Pokerstars. It’s been a while since I’ve had time to put a substantial amount of time into playing. But now that I’m back I’m actually enjoying it.

For now it looks like I’ll have to resign myself to 6-tabling the shorthanded 100 NL games to get back into the swing of things. The first order of business is to make it to Platinum and get on track to making Supernova this year. It should be pretty easy since I’m already 80% of the way there for this month.

After that, all I have to do is win the Sunday million once or twice and pay off my debts. Well actually, that’s not quite true as this time around I am well bankrolled and have a litle over 30k to play around with, if things go well this month and I find my feet at again, I’ll probably move back up again over the next few months. But for now, it’s baby steps.

Allright… end of the day for me. Since I had to go and take care of my day job today I didn’t get to put much time in. But I made a decent run of it, so it’s not all bad. Any winning day is a good day. Besides, the way things look I’m going to have plenty of time this weekend to get a decent amount of hands in.
